eAccounts, one of the UK’s leading online accountancy firms, is excited to announce the appointment of Karis Stevens as its new Marketing Assistant through an internship programme provided by Swansea University. This placement marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between eAccounts and Swansea University, designed to strengthen ties between education and industry and to support future talent.

Founded in Swansea and operating nationally, eAccounts has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most trusted online accountancy providers, supporting eCommerce businesses, landlords, limited companies and sole traders. The firm’s digital-first approach – focused on cloud technology, automation and accessible online services -makes it the ideal environment for students like Karis to develop real-world marketing skills.
Graduating in December with a Master’s in Sports Communication and Journalism from Swansea University, Karis brings a fresh, creative approach to finance-focused marketing. In her role, she is already involved in social media content planning, content creation and management, with plans to further develop skills in digital marketing areas such as SEO strategy, email marketing and brand initiatives. Her main focus is driving
digital growth for eAccounts’ social media channels by creating relatable and engaging content across their platforms like TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn.
This real-world exposure is a key part of her professional development, while also adding immediate value to the firm’s marketing function.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Karis to our team,” said Lewis Turner, Marketing Manager at eAccounts. “Her energy, creative thinking, and drive to learn are exactly what we need as we grow our digital presence. She’s already bringing new ideas to the table, and I’m confident she’ll make a real impact during her time with us.”
Karis Stevens, Marketing Assistant, shared her thoughts on joining the company:
“I’m really grateful for this opportunity with eAccounts. It’s been a fantastic experience so far, and I’ve already learned so much about digital marketing in a real-world setting. Being part of such a forward-thinking company is helping me grow both professionally and personally.”
The partnership between eAccounts and Swansea University highlights the importance of industry placements in bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application.
“Swansea University is delighted to partner with eAccounts on this funded internship programme, which exemplifies the power of collaboration between academia and industry,” said Morwenna Tyler, Business Development & Account Management Consultant at Swansea University. “By providing our students with meaningful, hands-on experience, we help them apply their knowledge in real-world settings, develop vital professional skills, and build valuable networks.”
This internship is just one of many ways eAccounts is supporting the next generation of professionals. As a Platinum Partner of Xero, the firm has built a reputation for embracing technology, offering unlimited accountant support, and delivering a seamless experience to clients across the UK. Their collaboration with Swansea University further demonstrates their commitment to staying ahead of the curve, not only in accountancy but also in community engagement and talent development.
